We've put together a timeline of the changes which will be brought in with the new contract.
The opt-in garden waste service is open for subscriptions. Sign up before 2 August to save £10 on your first year's subscription.
Our new waste contractors start on Saturday 30 March and will be taking over the running of our street cleansing services.
From Monday 1 April, Urbaser will be delivering the waste collection service.
There will be no changes to the service until September and your waste collections will continue as normal.
From April 12, through 18 May, staff from the Council and Urbaser begin Borough-wide roadshow tour to tell you about the new service and answer any questions you may have.
From Tuesday 7 May you will be able to subscribe to our chargeable opt-in garden waste service and benefit from our introductory offer.

We will be closing registrations for the garden waste introductory offer at 5pm on Friday 2 August.
Residents will be able to sign up to the opt-in garden waste service at the standard charge of £52 a year.
During August and September Urbaser will be delivering the new food waste containers.
Urbaser will also be delivering black bins to those residents who registered for the opt-in garden waste service between 7 May and 2 August.
On Friday 27 September our old garden waste collection service will finish for all residents.
On Monday 30 September, the new collection services start for all residents across the borough.
The new services include food waste, glass, textiles, batteries and small electrical item collections.
