Report graffiti on public property

You can use this service to report graffiti on public property.

Before you start

We can only remove graffiti from public property and not from private land. Removing graffiti from a private property is the responsibility of the property owner.

We give racist or offensive graffiti the highest priority.

What is public property?

Public property includes Council-owned:

  • Buildings, fences, walls or boundaries
  • Parks, play areas and play equipment
  • Car parks

It also includes things like:

  • Ancient monuments and some memorials
  • Street furniture (bus stops, benches and sign posts)
  • Litter bins and bollards

Private property

We're unable to remove graffiti from private property. That's the responsibility of the property owner.

Although we can't remove it for you, we can sometimes do things like:

  1. Tell you how to remove graffiti
  2. Lend you a graffiti cleaning kit
